Remote Connection Via Modem

I have tried connecting to my BCM via modem and have each time I get the same message (wrong user id or password) I use the same user id and password to get in through the system manager. What am I doing wrong?

Your user name must have dialup user rights.

usually ee_admin and supervisor have them by default.

I tried the supervisor and ee_amdin and the password and it still does not connect.

Have you set up bus 8 and set the wan parameter on the msc config to have min of 1.

Can you login using the LAN connection? if so check the password manager to see if DIALUP is highlighted. you can't login if your password doesn' have it.

what opt system are you runing. some of the new laptops are

were you remote dialing directly into the BCM or going through the network? i'm trying to figure out a way to remote into the system without using one of the lan computers browser but i don't know if its possible

I forgot the default subnet mask of 255.255.255.224. I was using the wrong subnet mask of 255.255.255.0
