Is there a way to connect to other wkstns in a Novell server network, (with clients using 95, 98, and 2000) w/o the user not knowing it? I'm more of an admin in the NT side and I can connect to a user's pc via its netbios name. I'm wondering if it is the same thing w/ Novell? Can anyone help? Thx.

:)

The workstation to wkstn connections are unaffected by Novell, so long as you are still loading the Microsoft client at the workstations.

I've reconfigured other w2k stations and some of them I see thru their netbios names and some don't. I made sure the MS Client is all loaded on the ones I have configured. Any more ideas folks? Thx.

Make sure you have the same protocol loaded on each and that the protocol is bound to the Microsoft client. Are you crossing any routers?

You could try a wins server novell or nt and see if it helps you with seeing more of the network.

Remember too, that Netbios protocol does not transverse a routher. If you have routers, you can't use that protocol for machines on the other side of the router.
