remote connection from Outlook to Exchange

Hello everyone,

I wonder if it's possible for a remote worker to connect to our office exchange 5.5ee server. I have tried to do this using the control panel (mail) app, by filling in the necessary info, but when I start the client I get 'network connection' type errors. Is there some source that one of you can refer me to that explains how I can make this work?

Can the exchange server be reached from the Internet or is it contained with in an Intranet behind a firewall? Typically Exchange server are behind a firewall and you have to provide a way for the client to access the network first so that the Exchange server can be reached.
