All was well with both server (SQL2000, Win2000, static IP) and remote Enterprise Manager connectivity until yesterday, when suddenly no remote workstations could connect - "SQL Server does not exist or access denied."
Everything seems to be working fine from the server console and I can ping the server by name from my workstation. Those users who were already connected could continue working normally even after the problem surfaced, but once they logged out they could not log back on.
After reading thread 962-828880, I tried connecting using the IP address instead of the server name, and that works. However, that thread went off in a different direction and solutions for my particular scenario were never discussed.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
John
