I am using remote connect with XP, but am having a problem.

File transfer seems to be erratic and sloooow. I have be trying through Explorer. Is there a better way?

No. Have you done that? Does it work?
I cannot just try it as I am not often working remotely.
When I do, however, I will try that.

It depends upon the services running at the remote machine and your permissions.

I have IIS running.
I gave myself full permissions.
What else should I have?

lmoe, I believe if you connect through a FTP client you should see a speed pickup. If not, what's your connection to the web? What's running on your FTP server?

Sorry for the delay. I have still not been able to test this.
I cannot set up an FTP Client at the remote site (the site I want to connect to).

Is that still the best way?

Web connection is via cable.
