remote clients not installing in 2K or XP

I have installed SMS 2.0 on a 2K server, and the remote client tools will not install. I am wondering if there are any patches or updates that I have missed(we're running SP5) or if there is a certan way to deploy SMS on a 2K or XP box.

go into user manager or the active div

check the users accounts

especially the smssender_xxx account and the server account
make sure the account hasnt locked out

i've had this on 2 sites - and unlock account and it's ok
you may need to do this a few times until all clients installed and fixed

I have checked all of the users and computers and all are active and open but they will still not allow the remote tools to be installed. There is somthing I am missing or a cretain setting I haven't enabled, or atleast I think so.
