Remote Call Pilot Backup?

Has anyone backed up the Call Pilots over the net?
I understood that you needed to be on site to manually reboot, but I have been told that I can telnet in and restart the mail.
I seriously want to avoid having to drive 150 miles to restart a system. Just because I can do it once does not prove anything.
I am hoping someone has done it a number of times as I have over 50 Call Pilots to deal with.
