I am trying to set up remote call fwd so if a caller that gets the Auto Attd(Intuity) needs after hour assistance they press 1 & the call transfers to an ext that is RCF.
Internally it works great- sta to sta and also calling the ext of the Auto Attd(I made it a real ext in the Legend so I could test it. When I test it live(outside call answered by the Auto Attd) and press 1 the call rings in on the QCC queue and does not forward. Am I forgetting something??? Thanks in advance!!

Hi thephonelady,

Besides the station you are activating for RCF, the station ports connected to the Intuity need the following made active or turned on: Trunk-to-Trunk, LS disconnect supervision, and outside access if the Intuity stations are restricted.

Check those items to see if any were missed. When a caller makes a selection in the Intuity, its actually "hookflashes" the station port and does a call transfer. So all those things would apply for the call completion to take place.

Hello SYSQUEST,
Changing the LS disc setting did the trick! Thanks & have a great day.

Sysquest,
I noticed in one of your responses that you worked at the Crystal Cathedral...so did I, but on the Definity. Small world. Did you ever work for Avaya??

Hi thephonelady,

That was back in the late 1970s I was working for an Interconnect company called Panoramic Audio in Irvine. They had installed the NEC NA120 DIANA, which was a crossbar PBX with 1A2 KTS throughout the property (that was before I worked there). All the telsets were TouchTone™, Schuller liked fast communications. In the early 1980s he cutover to CENTREX, because the crossbar was too slow! I remember Pacific Bell bringing in a new 300 pair cable to the MPOE in the main bldg. Since we did not service them after that, I lost touch with what was going on there. Is the Definity located in the same basement area?

No, I did not work for Avaya, but I did work @ WESTERN ELECTRIC Southern California Service Center in Commerce, Avaya's predecessor, before working for Panoramic Audio.

Btw, I don't know if you realize, but the Central Office is across the street from the church, ORNGCA14, which at that time had a 1AESS switch serving the area. Also called "Orange-Chapman", it is a split office. It has two rate areas, Garden Grove and Orange.

It is most interesting who you may bump into. Definitely a small world.

....JIM....

Yes, the Definity is in the basement, at least the last time I was there- I retired from AVAYA in 02 and now wk for an AVAYA business partner. Yes it is a small world!!!
