I recently upgrade a customer from Magix R1 to R4. In doing this I was hoping to setup Remote Call Forwarding with Simultaneous Internal Alert on a couple extensions. I think I did all the necessary programing, however when I try to activate the feature from a telephone it doesn't want to work for me. Here is what I did:

-Setup extension to allow RCF w/ Simul Int Alrt from the extensions menu.
-used pool 890 for my pool code (this is the PRI).
-Enabled trunk to trunk transfer for the extension.
-Attempted to forward phone using the instructions provided from the manual. (i.e. The feature is activated by using the Forwarding button/Feature code followed by a "#" followed by the outside number to alert. The pool access code should not be entered. An example would be #33#5551234#.)

I tried it using a programmed button. *33 from an MLX set. FEATURE 33 from an ETR set. Everytime after I press the first # I get High/Low tone. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

there is no # after feature 33. just 9+the number and a # sign at the end. it's best if you program a forward button, then you can see a steady lite when you enter the number and #. the light tells you the phone is forwarded. you must also set loop start disc. to yes

This is out of the pocket reference. It has a little more info than the feature reference but not much more.

Remote Call Forwarding with Simultaneous Internal Alert allows
a user to have internal and external calls sent to an external
telephone, such as their cell phone, at the same time the call is
received at their internal extension. If the user does not answer
the call (at either telephone, including the external telephone’s
voice mail), the call is sent to the internal extension’s
programmed coverage arrangement for example to a voice
messaging system.
The Forwarding Delay option does not apply to Remote Call
Forwarding with Simultaneous Internal Alert. As soon as the call
arrives at the internal extension, it is sent out to the external
telephone.
There is new System Programming required for Remote Call
Forwarding with Simultaneous Internal Alert to associate an
extension with a pool. This pool must contain only PRI lines, T1
lines emulating TIE, or analog TIE lines. The pool cannot
contain lines used for private networking.
The feature is activated by using the Forwarding button/Feature
code followed by a “#” followed by the outside number to alert.
The pool access code should not be entered. An example would
be #33#5551234#. Feature activation is denied if Remote Call
Forwarding is not programmed for the extension, if the new
system programming option is not assigned to the extension or
if the user’s extension does not have dial access to the pool
assigned. The feature is mutually exclusive with both
Forwarding and Remote Call Forwarding without Simultaneous
Internal Alert.

Thanks for the replys. So jr2001. Are you saying that I simply set it up on the user end as a standard RCF and since in the system I have it set up as RCF with Internal Alert it will act appropriatley? Don't know why I didn't think to try that, but I will give it a shot. Thanks again.
