I have setup an extension for Remote Call Forwarding. The user dials #3391<cell#> from his phone set in the office and it works. The issue is that if there is a power failure and System is reset, the forwarding doesn't work anymore. Someone has to go to the extension and redo the forwarding. Is there a way to do it remotely or another way that the calls are forwarding to outside number? The user no longer works in the office anymore and works from home, so we need to forward the extension on permanent basis.

There is no permanent way. You could set up the forwarding on an adjunct - but a power failure will also erase it. You need to put the system on a backup power supply device.

I was afraid of that. Thank you for clearing it up.

With a back-up power supply installed - using an adjunct extention for forwarding - would be a permanent forwarding solution - until you dial in and change it or remove the forwarding.

How much VA is required for the backup power supply?
