Remote backups

We're shortly replacing our w2k server and going for an SBS2003 one. Is it realistic to carry out regular remote backups from my home PC for around 3Gb of data although we'd only be interested in changed/new files?

Do we upload these to an FTP site and could this be costly with our provider?

Thanks for any advice.
