Remote Backups failing

Hi All,

Has anyone had any problems with remote backups and AS 7 Enterprize? In the log, I see:

\\123abc ( 123abc (0.0.0.0) ) <Netware Network Machine>

In the runtime screen, I see something similar indicating that the backup failed. What bugs me is the (0.0.0.0)! I have never seen that before.

Any ideas?

The 0.0.0.0 represents no IP address. Is TCP/IP running on that server? ArcServe 7 defaults to TCP/IP first, then goes to IPX/SPX.

Are you backing up a NetWare server to a NetWare server? If so, you have to make sure that when you set the job up, you specify the IP address in the Client agent box instead of allowing it to find itself. This should resolve this issue. -----------------------------------------------------
