remote backup over the Internet

Hey everyone,

Is there a software utility that will allow me to automate backuping up data over the Internet, to another server?

There is Fractional T1 facilities at both locations and the servers are built exactly the same with Identicatal file structures. I know I can use FTP server software on the backup machine, but how can I automate and secure the data transfer between the sites?
What I'm trying to get away from is supporting two or three software apps to make this happen.
