Hello All, We are trying to get Remote Assistance Running on our
domain and keep running into this.

The novice sends the request, the helper accepts it then after a
minute get the message.
"A Remote Assistance connection could not be established. You may want
to check for network issues or determine if the invitation expired or
was cancelled by the person who sent it. "

The helper never recieves the helpeeaccept.htm page that say
"Your buddy has accepted your Remote Assistance invitation and is
ready to connect to your computer.

Do you want to let this person view your screen and chat with you?"

This is on a LAN with no router or firewalls between computers.
Pop-Up blocking is disabled
The machines are WinXP Pro SP2, we have disable the MS Firewall
And a slew of other things none of which worked.
Anyone run into this before?
Thanks
Leon

The necessary permissions are found in Group Policy. You need to add the Group under:
Computer Configuration
Windows Settings
Security
Local Policy
User Rights Assignment
'Access this computer from the network.'

In addition, under:
Administrative Templates
Windows Components
Terminal Services

you need to "Allow users to connect remotely using Terminal Services."

Thanks, but that is set and still does not work. Will keep looking and trying other things.
