Remote Agents

All,

How do you verify if remote agents are still in the other servers?

Veritas 9.0
PE Server that has PV 110t SDLT 320 Tape Drive
Using 160/320 SDLT Tapes

Also does new tape media need any kind of set up before using it?

I assume that if you look in services on the remote server, there should be a remote agent service running.

as sx3 said....check the services on the remote client to ensure that BE service is installed & running.

Also you can right click the remote servers icon in the 'Backup Selections' tab & choose 'Properties'.

Thanks. For unexplained reasons the remote agent on my 2003 server keeps shutting down.

There are patched that resolve this issue. SP2 and HOTFIX 50 if you running 9.1 to the media server then re-push the remote agent.
