Remote Agent vs. Exchange Agent

I have Backup Exec 8.5 running on NT 4.0. And it works great. Now I want to start backing up my Exchange Server v5.5 which is on a separate NT 4.0 box. I have purchased the Exchange Agent, but after reading the manuals I am confused as to whether or not I also need the Remote Agent. Can anybody enlighten me about this?

Open the BE server with the agent on it. If you can see the exchange server then you don't need to buy it. If you cannot, you do need to buy it.
