Remote Agent Upgrade Failing

Was running BE 10d with 3 10d remote agents. Upgraded the main to 11d and all but 1 of the remote agents with no problems. However, (there is always a however) one of the servers running Remote Agent 10d refuses to upgrade to 11d because the uninstall of 10d fails when it cannot locate the original MSI that it was installed from.

I have the original disc it was installed from but it is looking for an MSI that was on the root directory and doesn't like the ones on the disc. Apparently, the root directory was cleaned up sometime in the past and that MSI is no longer avaiable.

The 10d Remote Agent still works with 11d but always generates an error about the version which causes email from my boss. Does anyone know how to manually uninstall 10d Remote Agent?

You can download windows installer cleanup utility and manually remove the 10d agent.

Have you tried just copying the raws32 folder over to the remote machine from [installed drive letter]:\program files\symantec\backup exec\agents and then running the setupaa.cmd?

(assuming a win environment).

Both good suggestions. TY. Got sidetracked on another project but will attempt the suggestions this week.

Copying the folder over and then running setup gave me a "repair" option which I didn't get before. After repairing 11d is up-and-running fine. Thank You.
