Remote Agent Service stops

We have an Exchange server with Exchange 2000 and running on Windows 2000. When the backup runs it gets to the mailboxes and the Remote Agent Service suddenly stops. Nothing is in the BE log other than the job failed. The windows log only says the Service terminated unexpectedly. The Event ID is 7031 which is a generic code. It only occurs on this server and is set up like the other Exchange Server. The backup is only on the local machine and is not backing up any remote servers.

There are several hotfixes that resolve this issue.
Im assuming Backup Exec 9.1 You will need to install SP2 and HOTFIX 47. Re-push the agent to the exchange server.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that we run version 9.0 build 4454. I should also mention that this was a reinstall due to a slight goof from our network administrator.

Ok, then upgrade to 9.1 with SP2 and HOTFIX 47. it free. Its a known issue. Something in the mailboxes maybe corruption is causing the problem.
