I'm looking at extending Symposium Agents to their homes. In the UK I can use the 9110/9115 box with ISDN as the carrier, this seems to be pretty well supported, 9110/9115 over DSL is not I understand released for general use yet by BT due perhaps to issues with QOS.

I'm interested to know if 9115 over DSL is used in North America as I need to ensure i have a range of options to get an agent working from home, ISDN is not as widely available in the USA so if I can't rely on this, then using a 9115 over DSL would be a good second option if it's supported by the local Nortel distributors.

Anyone out their using 9110/9115 over DSL ? especially in USA ? If so, who's your supplier, can you share your experiences with it ?

p.s. A third option I'll be investigating is IP agent via softphone.

Due to VPN requirements, the users must use the softphone and let the PC create the VPN tunnel. %95 of the time the service is great. There are some instances when the IP traffic got to high and staurated the local DSLAM servicing the DSL users. The 9110 and 9150 will not create the VPN tunnle and corporate security will not allow a home office VPN appliance, only the client on the PC is allowed.

We get better performance on cable modems, here in the central US. (I think the RBOC's like over subscribing the DSL carriers.)

You do not get QOS control when you run on the internet. Your connection is best effor.

Thanks KCfonman for the information! Are you in Kansas City? I am and we are investigating several different VoIP solutions and although it is a remote possibility, having remote agents via VoIP. Great information!
