Remote agent necessary on backup server?

Does the backup agent need to be installed on the server that does the backups too? In previous versions of BE (7.x) you were not supposed to have the agent installed on the same server that was the backup server. Let me know. Thanks.

Nope - you need the license key loaded when installing the product originally (or go back and rerun setup through Add/Remove Programs to add it) but you do not need to install it on the 'Media Server' - I think you will find it won't let you push the agent to a server that has BENT installed anyway....
