I administer several Novell servers that are housed locally in our server room.
The servers are being moved to a data centre a few miles from the office.
The administration software is held on the SYS volume of the server.
I need to remotley administer the server from my desk.
The only way I can think of doing it is installing RNV on a machine, run the server service, login as admin, launch the admin software from here and administer the server this way?
Is there any other way aside from this that I could administer the server from my desk?

when you say the admin software - are you meaning nwadmin?

or to physically remote the server?

I too am baffled. Have you been around Windows too long? NetWare is centrally managed and you just need to be able to map a drive to the SYS volume to access the tools contained therein.

Assuming you are connected to the data center, there shouldn't be any problem doing what you want.

Do you have IPX on your WAN?

Yes it is NWADMIN I am using.

IPX is running on the network.

Thanks

I should imagine that you will still be logging into these servers so you can manage them that way. Server console access can be gained by using RConsole from your workstation.
