Is there a way I can manage my Exchange 5.5 box sitting at my XP box without remoting the server. Exchange is running on NT4 box.
Can I run Exchange administrator on XP?

yes, works fine. Just install custom the admin console on xp, and you're done. Don't forget to delegate you the right rights for exchange too...

Thanks - where can I get this custom admin console for XP?

Never mind I figured it out thanks to tipmaster Netometer.

But now I have another problem when trying to install. It bombs out with the error that I am not part of the domain and therefore cannot continue with Exchange install. I cant even get to the screen where I only choose the administrator app.

Now its 100% correct, I am not part of the domain - long story, but basically I my machine does not log into any domain because I manage more that one domain at the same time. I log in locally and then manually provide credentials depending on what I am connecting to. For example I can use User Manager with Runas and manage the domain users.

So anyway, how do I get around this little problem??
Any thoughts?

Not sure of a positive answer, but I will tell you this. I installed the admin console on my home system to try to use it from there ( I use VPN to access from home) & it told me the same thing about being part of the domain. I was able to join it thru the VPN connection & it worked after that with no other changes. That makes me think that you will have to join it, but there are obviously different variables in each scenario.
