Remote Admin Modem, No Response

We've been connecting to a Octel 250 for years with WYSE 50 emulation. Now when the modem answers, we get no response.We reset modem and still the same. I don't want to restart the Octel unless someone else has found this to be the fix.?????????

if there is anything on the terminal that is connected to the octel the modem will not give you a log on screen. Or the modem port may be locked up. A reboot may do it but i don't think that is the problem. Can you get in to the Octel with the terminal ? If so be sure to hit the break key untill the screen is blank and try it.

You can play with the emulation between TVI925, TVI920, Wyse50 and Wyse100. Also if you are getting garbage on the line then lower the baud rate to 1200bps. If those things fail then try reseting the modem itself.

Thanks all for your help. The customer gave us the wrong phone number and we were connecting to another modem. Let's close this one out.
