I've tried all forms of our mail server (mail.myserver.com/net, mail.domain.net/com with and without http:// and /exchange) to no avail. His outlook web access via the web works fine now, but he can't access email with outlook. I have it set to use his Earthlink connection, login to our mail server with his username and pass, and still will not connect. "The name could not be resolved. The server containing the global address list is no longer available. You can reconnect to a different server by restarting outlook or retry the operation when the server is available."
Unsure to as whether or not I am missing a setting, I do not think I am. Anytime I attempt to connect or check his username with outlook, the event viewer logs the following :
Event Type: Error
Event Source: DCOM
Event Category: None
Event ID: 10003
Date: 6/7/2004
Time: 12:09:15 PM
User: N/A (this is what I am not liking)
Computer: LAPTOP
Description:
Access denied attempting to launch a DCOM Server using DefaultLaunchPermssion. The server is:
{00020906-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}
The user is Unavailable/Unavailable, SID=Unavailable.
I've already run through the article from MS ( with no luck. *The IWAM_<ComputerName> was not an option* Seening as he can use Outlook Web Access, this is not a huge deal. On the same hand though, I would like to know how to set this up for future purposes. I have checked everything for Outlook, and it all looks fine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
