hey .. i was attempting to setup DISA on a mics so that i could access my voip line from home .. the system is configured with 2 CI trunk cards ..

i followed instructions posted by mroberts (good post)
(
but when i dial into the system i am not getting stuttered dial tone ... however it answers but there is nothing .. i attempted to go ahead and enter my COS passwd but then i just get a busy dialtone .. I have the voip line in its own line pool and it is not accessible by anyone.

I think i was reading that i need an E&M card? do i and if so can you explain why

thanks

any help/info would be appreciated ?

thanks

The E&M card is in fact an E&M/DISA card.
It is required if you configure any line for auto answer.
The purpose of the card is to provide 2 DTMF receivers in order to process received digits.

alrite .. i thought something was missing
thanks for the info aragon
