Remote access to voicemail on Avaya Partner Mail

Does anyone know if or how you can access your voicemail box remotely on a Partner Mail 7.0? Just referring to a mailbox user, not system programming.
I have tried # and * and they don't work. Is it really possible that Avaya did not provide for this feature? I have tried many different ways to get in.
