Hello,

We are in the process of upgrading Quintus 5.0 to the new Avaya Interaction Centre 6.0.2.

During our discussions, the question of remote access for Avaya came up for the initial install and on-going support.

For those of you who use IC, what means do you give Avaya to access your system? pcAnywhere? VPN?

Thanks
Barry

We are using IC 5.6. I simply setup a vector in our G3R which checks a table (VRT). I put Avaya's area code in the VRT. Then I forward the call to the modem attached to our server. I also setup PCanywhere with a password etc that I let Avaya know about. This seems to work well.

And if anyone calls VDN in error I just forward them to the "Youv'e reached a non-working number" annc.

Good luck,

Ray

Thanks Ray,

Our 'security' team here is killing us! They want all connections to be VPN router to router, and then a Tivoli connection into our system.

I mentioned pcAnywhere and they had a heart attack!

Hey, on a side note, do you use a local database for your IC data server, or is it at a remote site?
