Remote access set-up.

I have a laptop that can connect to our server. I have tried numerous other laptops and they have a problem.

I need to dial in remotely and then get e-mails and the like.
The dial up is to a modem that only allows one person a t a time anyway.

I am still learning so any help would be most appreciated.
