I am setting up a BCM which has 4 IP Trunks(Pool B) going accross the network to a Norstar VOIP Gateway which connects to a CICS Norstar. I can call both ways between the Norstar and the BCM. I want the Norstar to have access to a T1 to the PSTN off the BCM(Pool A). On the BCM, I have set up "Remote Access" Package 15 for Line Pool A. I am using Restriction Filters with No restrictions on them. I have gone into the VOIP Trunks and set them to Remote Package 15. I am sending the 9* from the VOIP Gateway. Am I missing something in the BCM? In the CICS, the lines appear directly on the sets. Should I start looking at the Norstar? Any help is appreciated.

In your CICS, have you set up a destination code of 9, absorb 0 to route across the VoIP trunks to the BCM?

Thanks Crowtalks. Can I do that even if the Analog Trunks on the CICS are not in a Line Pool?

Couple more questions:

When I set up Remote Access Line Pool, do I put in the VOIP that goes to the CICS or the T1 that goes to the PSTN.

I have Destination Codes set up in the BCM. Do they have any impact on the calls coming from the CICS.

Because the VOIP lines appear as Analog Trunks directly on the sets, do I still have to set up the Destination code "9" in the CICS.

Thanks

The analog trunks that are assigned to the Gateway should be in a line pool (Nortel recommends O for private network routes)

Your destination code of 9 would be built around it's own route. The route would point to the line pool that is assigned to the gateway.

It sounds like you already have a route built in the CICS to route the private network toward the BCM. Is this true?

The Remote Access package in the BCM appears to be set up correctly according to your 1st post.

Destination codes only impact calls leaving the device.

Thanks for the patience Crowtalk. Still no go. Let me review set-up for you and maybe you can see where I am going wrong.

BCM has Line Pool A(access code 86). This is T1 to PSTN.
BCM has Line Pool B(Access Code 87). This is VOIP lines to Norstar VOIP Gateway and on to CICS.
BCM has Remote Access package 15 with access to Pools A and B. No Restrictions in place.
BCM has Destination Codes 9* going out Line Pool A. Works great from BCM.

VOIP Gateway passes digits 9* to IP of BCM

CICS has Line 1-4 in Line Pool A(Access Code 6, Route 000)
CICS has Dest. Code 9 pointing to Route000 and set to Absorb 0. When I chose Line 1(appears on set) and dial 9+ a local #, I get a fast busy. If I take my Butt-set and go directly on the VOIP Gateway Line 1, I get the same thing.

Any suggestions and thanks for your assistance. It is very much appreciated.

Crowtalk, Just found my problem. One of the VOIP lines still had Package 00 on it. I must have been seizing it all along.

Thanks again for the help
