Remote access changes desktop icons

Hi,
When I remote access into one of my XP pro computers using RDC with SSH, the desktop icons of the host computer change back to their default icons and names. (my computer, internet explorer, etc.)

Has anyone experienced this or have a reason/ fix for it?
