Remote Access Can Only See IP vs. Hostnames

I've got Win2K3 RRAS (VPN) configured on our network, and while we can connect and autheticate fine ionto our network, we can only hit the IP addresses. Somehow we cannot browse by hostname. Is there a NETBIOS setting we must enable to do this?

make sure your DHCP relay is set to your DHCP server, verify your DHCP has your internal DNS server listed.

also on some networks I have seen that you had to access the server by servername.domain instead of just servername

hope this helps a little
