Trying to remote to a customer's pc. The remote client works fine. Using mywebex. The customer has a vpn connection that they need for certain applications. I loose remote access when the vpn client connects. Is there any way around this? I've tried adding the linksys router ip as an additional gateway, but no help. Is there anyway a manual 'route add' would work?

If your customer's VPN client is working correctly, you will not be able to remote control the PC while the VPN is operating.

VPNs are used primarily for security purposes, and a basic function of the VPN is to guarantee that no undesirable connections are made to the host network. ANY Internet connection that does not come through the host network must be considered an undesireable connection. The client software blocks all connections that are not coming through the tunnel, and therefore disconnects your remote control session. This is an expected and desired configuration.

Follow up...Looks like I got it going. Using GotoAssist. If I remote in without the vpn active, it works like normal. Then the customer can manually 'test' the GotoAssist session after they connect to vpn. So it appears the GotoAssist Host Client REconnects to the GotoAssist server via the customer's vpn/proxy. Last night I tried connecting remotely and it worked. Dropped the connection after connecting to vpn, (normal) but later on I tried it and it had automatically reconnected, so I was able to remote in with vpn active. Working good. Now to see how to recoupe the costs, lol.
