Reminders only work on inbox

Hello all,

When I set a reminder flag on a message they only work if the message is in the inbox. Is this by design?

I have ran the /cleanreminders etc

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes, it's by design. The flagged email has to be in a main folder (inbox, tasks, calendar) in order for it to work. Subfolders, sent items, deleted items, drafts are NOT main folders.
