Remembering page margins?

Hi,

I'm having a problem with Access 2000. I've created a report, changed the margins in Page Setup, and designed my report. However, sometimes Access does not remember the page margins, and opens the report up with the default margins. Of course this messes up the whole thing when you try to print.

How can I make Access remember the margins? By using code each time the report opens to set the margins? How would I go about doing that?

Seems like a known bug/flaw The printer settings may lost when the Name AutoCorrect feature is enabled in Access 2000. It is supposed to be fixed in later servicepacks, though, but wouldn't hurt turning off the Name Autocorrect thingies, as they also have an impact on performance, which is the "easy fix";-)

Using code for printer settings in Access 2000 is - a bit of work - you may get some info here Chapter 10: Controlling Your Printer. This is from Microsoft Access 95 Developer's Handbook, Sybex, later editions of that book has code for newer versions too, but I think/believe this should also work on 2000.

Thanks RoyVidar, I'll try turning off that feature and see how it goes.

powella, reason I brought up the methods I did, is that the methods you reference, became available first in the 2002 (xp) version. For previous versions, it isn't quite that easy, as is also stated in the top of the article you reference.

This is a real PIA for those of us who have to deliver stuff where such manipulation is necessary, and one need it to work also on the 2000 version;-)

RoyVidar, Can you please look at my question?
I want to alternate printer bins. Basicaly everyother page (even vs odd). It is looking for this solution that I found the link above and this posting. I just thought it might be useful to other people coming here not knowing where to start.
