I have a tracker report which tracks the changes in my database. Currently I input the from date. Identifying the date the report will start from. It prints all changes from this date onwards.

Is there a way that when I print the report it places the current date into a table and then from then on in, every time I print the report it prints the records from the last date it was printed.

Have you tried with custom properties?

No I have not tried with custom properties, why would there be an easier way to do it.

OK...it should work with tables too...

It's a tricky thing, because you can't control whether the report is printed or just previewed...Sure, if you use DoCmd.OpenReport Reportname,acNormal it is printed directly...but this doesn't allow you to preview it before.

You could:
1. disable the printing menu and allow printing the report from a modal form or from a custom menu/button calling a function that will PrintOut the report, and update the table.

2. Output it in Snapshot format to a temporary folder, use Automation to print the snapshot and update the table.
