Remedy search query, average time to close?

Hello,

I need a query which will return the average time to close incidents, say, from the last 12 months? I've written very basic queries which will return total number of tickets which are currently in a specific status, but I'm really not sure where to start with this one. If anyone can help I'd be very grateful! :)
