Not familiar with COM-gate per se, but perhaps this will help. To access a client COM port through a MetaFrame session, the COM port needs to be remapped manually. The best way is via login script, using "NET USE COM2: \\CLIENT\COM1:" (all on one line, without the quotes). Within the MetaFrame session, any reference to COM2 will be redirected to the COM1 port on the client.

Hope this helps.

Merry Christmas to all! :)

Voyager1, that is exactly how it works. Note that the actual word CLIENT should be used, as opposed to the client name.

I have used this method to synchronise a variety of devices via a number of clients - including terminals, such as WYSE WinTerm.

I have not used the Psion devices, but with the devices I have used, the ActiveSync software had to be installed on the server via the Add/Remove programs in Control Panel.

I hope this information is useful

Merry Christmas!
