Reload Correct Frame

How do I get my site to reload the correct frame? I have a frameset with 3 frames - a top, side, and main frame. The side frame consists of links with mainframe as the target. Browsing the site works fine, but when I hit the reload button at the top of the browser, it reloads the homepage in the mainframe instead of the current page. This works on other sites -- why not mine?!?
