Hi all- I know this issue has been discussed before. Customer went to voip type lines with an analog handoff from Bullseye. They are using Polycom 0Bi508 devices for the handoff. There are 2 of these devices and the line hang up issue is happening on all lines. Biggest issue is when the caller is put on hold or park and hangs up. Call never disconnects. Customer started having this issue after changing from ATT POTS. Anyone have any experience with these devices? I have a vendor meet with Bullseye and not sure what kind of options there are. Thanks in advance.

Need to run a wireshark trace or logs on the gateway on a bad call to see if the gateway is recieving the BYE message and reponding with 200OK. If not it could be network related, could try changing signalling to TCP instead of UDP

Make sure to take a butt set. You will be able to here the 'click' if disconnect is on. If it isn't they will need to turn it on at their end. Very common problem with this type of service.

At the site I connected with one of the lines and made a call to my cell. Answered it then hung up cell. Heard a click and got dial tone on my butt set. Does that mean I'm getting reliable disconnect?
I tried it on my land line and got click then fast busy.

It sounds like you are getting clear disconnect. The return to dial tone means the connection has been reset and is ready for a new call. I would suggest playing with the disconnect timer. They may not be giving you the full 500 MS that the IPO wants. Change it to maybe 300 MS and see what it does.
