We have just sent one of our servers away to be re-built as an exchange server.

It will be running Windows 2000, how reliable is it to be left on all the time?

Will it need rebooting very frequently? Our main server is a Unix server which will run for ages without needing a shutdown. Obviously I guess that Windows won't be as reliable as Unix but is it likely to last 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week etc?

Hi Jon,

we've never experienced issues with reliability, however, it may be prudent to schedule a weekly midnight server reboot if you're not at all sure about Win2K.
