I have just one user who is having strange voicemail issues on their phone. So I'm trying to reset their individual extension but when I go into our site Administrator software and run either release port or release station xxxx, I get a Successful command complete but the status is ABORT with an Error code of 1011,

So, thinking it may be a line issue I tried the above on my own extension, which is working perfectly, and I get the same, I must be missing something, and I remember last time I had an issue with a memory card it took me forever to find a manual with the error code listings.

Anyone know what the code means?

Thanks,

Definity G3 Switch and a Repartee OS/2 Voice Mail.

You did not post which "G3" you have so this is for.

Also, in order to run that command, you would need to first use the "busy sta xxxx or port xxxxxxx" and then "release sta or port" . If i had my guess its giving you that abort code because its not busied.

When is the last time you helped someone, just because you were able to?

Thanks Again mikeydidit, the busyout worked. Our Switch is a G3SI V11 Offer B

You will get that abort message if you are trying to release a station/port that is already released (i.e. not busied out). Do a "busy station xxx" first and then do the release.
