Does anyone have experience with rls 5.0? We recently upgraded to 5.0 and are trying to set up the CLID Name Enhancement Feature which allows a name to be input and passed to the carrier for outbound CLID. Documentation says to input name in a new field in CDB called 'group name'but I'm not finding the 'group name' field in CDB (in NET - or anywhere else). All required packages are installed. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks T-101. Have NI2. What I'm looking for is the new software field in release 5.0 that allows you to input a 'group name' for the new 5.0 feature called 'CLID Name Enhancement'.

You provision this in LD 95. Going through this you will come up with a prompt that shows ENTR. This is referencing a CLID table entry.

So a user that has CLID table 55 Assigned to them will use the name programmed against ENTR 55 in LD 95 if they make an NPA call.

As previously stated, NI-2 name needs to be enabled on the PBX as well as supported by the carrier.

Looks like LD 95 when you get the ENTR prompt...it associates this number with the entry on the CLID table...

Print your CLID from your CDB and see if there are any entries...

Thanks y'all - I got that, and the carrier is set up for us to send the name along with the digits, now I just need to know where to program the different group names in the PBX.

You enter the name in LD 95 against a CLID table entry that already exists. For example CLID 10 is assigned to the sets. In LD 95 we create a Company Name entry associated with CLID 10. Now all sets using CLID 10 will send the company name on E.164 public calls.
