Release 4/4.5 to 5.50j

Hi i am upgrading release 4 and 4.5 to 5.50j with new SSC and daughterboard hardware, i created backup of both system using XBK and using backup on PCMCIA. Do i need to convert this database before restoring it on Release 5.50j??
Can some body guide how to convert old database to be use with new release?

Perform the archive in ld 143 onto the install PCMCIA card and it will do the conversion for you when you install the customer database.
