I have a web server with PHP that contain scripts to send an email. Using PHP I can send an email to any address not on the same domain as the servers. Using a suggestion above "Need Help Setting Up Sendmail as a Relay to Local Exchange server" is how I got it to send email out to Exchange server on the network. Bot the web server and the Exchange server are on the same domain. How do I get the web server to send an email to the Exchange sharing the same domain?

tell the web server that it is a different domain? at least in the sendmail configuration (Dj tag).

that might fix it ... :)

Thanks for the suggestion jad. Where do I go to change the domain for the sendmail configuration. I looked throught sendmail.mc and didn't see a setting for it. Is there a HOWTO some where on how to change the domain of ther server. How do I tell what the domain is currently configured as?

as you think, so shall you be

I just found the 'domainname' command and it returns (none). So I'm assuming that no 'domainname' is set.

as you think, so shall you be

as long as the emails are qualified (user@domain.com) rather than unqualified (user, no @ sign) it should work ok if you set:
Djnowhere
DS<your mailhost>

make sure that you don't have Fw macro set
