Relay Config Question 1

Currently we have Sendmail running on an external host which accepts mail from the Internet for delivery to our internal Exchange organization/domain. It relays mail to an Exchange 5.5 gateway running the Internet Mail Service.

We would like to add a second Exchange gateway for fault tolerance, for the same Exchange organization/domain. Can Sendmail be configured to relay mail to a second Exchange gateway if the first is down? If so, how?

As a bonus, can load balancing be done so that Sendmail will send half of mail to first Exchange gateway, and half to the second?
