We have FM server running on a main server with numerous databases on it. We are upgrading to FM 5.5 in a week and we are trying out some issues at the moment with FM 5.
We are taking the dB's off server and converting them - these dB's have loads of relationships between them of all kinds and on a button script to open another database or other scripts which look at dB's the code has the local computer or servers IP address.
We want the links to be relative and not absolute (ie. not with the IP address but file name) so we can move the dB's anywhere without changing thousands of scripts
Is there any way? - it seems that when one IP address has got into a script the rest want it also! it has become very annoying and time consuming and time is something that we are short on.
Is there any way of sorting this out, something that we have overlooked
