Relative links and subdomains

I just placed my website on an internet server (as opposed to my personal server), after a few years of development. I decided to make subdomains, because the site is actually six differnt websites under one company. Since creating the subdomains I now realize that all my relative links between the subdomains do not work.

I didn't think it was a problem because the server tree is the same setup, each subdomain has its own folder under the server root, but obviously that is not the case. I really want to use relative links (if possible) so my personal server can be used as a test enviorment, and I do not need to remember to update all subdomain links after any editing before uploading.

I don't think it can be done. See my post on URL structure in thread215-1080398 - you can't change (sub)domain without re-entering everything else.

Can't be done,

Unless set as an alias, A subdomain it's actually a different website so will require absolute references from one site to the other.

If using Apache you could probably rewrite the URLs using modrewrite and .htaccess
