Relative Hyperlinks to tiff files

Hello,

I am using Microsoft Excell 2002 sp3 on Windows XP Pro Sp1.

If I create a relative hyperlink to a tiff (or tif) file, the file will not open.

If the link is an absolute hyperlink - the full path to the tiff file, the tiff file will open in Windows picture and fax viewer. I have just recently upgraded a user from office 97 to office xp. This user has many spreadsheets with relative hyperlinks to tiff files and now none of the hyperlinks work.

The problem does not occur running office xp on Windows 2000.

Has anybody experienced this problem and if so, have you got a fix.
