I've got an excel spreadsheet that holds data in various worksheets. These worksheets are linked in as tables to my db when the spalsh screen opens. Is it possible to create some relationships between these linked tables using code? how about defining primary keys ect?

You can create relationships between the tables within Access using the relationships window. Or if you wish to do it in code, follow the instructions in help for creating relationships. You cannot make a primary key though, this is not possible with linked tables.
