I currently Have 2 database files. I need to combine them. So i imported the 2 Tables from the one database to the other. Then I created relationships for the Tables i needed. Then I created a query and then a form. However when I do this I see nothing in the query or the form. Its a blank screen only the background color. But if i view it in design view I can see all the fields. This only happens when i import the other tables. if i do it internally it works fine. Am I missing something?

I appreiciate any help in this matter.

Hi,
When you create a query using fields from multiple tables, Access will not allow you to have that recordset updateable. So, for the table to be maintained by that particular form, your query should only contain fields from that specific table, and not any other tables.

HOWEVER, you may add custom fields (as in my FAQ faq701-3273), because these will not be bound to any other table in the query. That may sound confusing, but you may have other tables appearing in the top part of the query, but you may NOT have any of those other tables listed in the "Table" row where you have specified the fields.
